To Do List:
- Moving the Faraday Cage
- Getting a G5 Computer for video editing.
- Contact Naranjan about use of the rooms in the hallway and control room
computer.
- Switching Lab to old colloquium room. Is this possible? What are the
benefits?
- Contact Margaret Dolinsky about Virtools
- Have Ryan do a one page meatbook webpage/Postcards?
- Aaron: Design a way to track student progress in the lab
Discussion
Lab Space:
- Everyone has a space except Jack Sam.
- The Faraday Cage will be removed from the smaller room.
- Can put 3 people into that
- Aaron: Bring Windchime into small room
- Gordon has 2 G4s to use
Visiting Faculty: Martin
- Settled into his room
- Art Background and Graphic Design
Missing Computer:
- Seems not to be a problem .
- Probably is somewhere in the research area. Don't need to worry about it according to Gordon.
Acccess to computers:
- Denise's old computer by Gordon's office for video editing
- Diane will get a G5 Computer for video editing.
- Meehae will get a G4.
Faculty Collaboration:
- Can we find ways to work with Naranjan?
- Who else can we work with? Existing and new faculty.
Individual Topics
Diane:
- Diane is getting her dissertation done. This is her biggest priority right now.
Jack Sam:
- Get Ethics Approval
Aaron:
- MeatBook
- Meehae has face masks to use for the meatbook.
- Photo Store: Look for hard case suitcase to ship things in.
- Get laptop from Gordon.
- Order 2 LCD Screens
- Keep costs under $500 (not including shipping)
- Ryan will do visuals
- Diane will do storyboard for LCD screens

- Making a demo of a system that generates Narratives from a database and utilizes film footage. Wants to use Max/MSP
- Look at Repentance (Soviet) and Like Water For Chocolate for uses of Magical Realism in film.
- Contact Penny Simpson (SFU Burnaby Library) about copyright info for fair use of the film Shortcuts
